IDE/SATA to USB Saves the Day

IDE/SATA to USB Saves the Day

This gadget would have come in handy a few weeks ago: my friend came over to my place with his SATA hard drive, unsure if his computer or his hard drive was in trouble, as his computer wouldn't start up. Making the problem worse was that the hard drive had files that we needed that day. Eventually I got access to his drive by plugging it directly into my Motherboard, but if I had something like the Granite USB 2.0 High-Speed Bridge Adapter things might have gone a bit quicker. It's a simple idea for a device, obviously, but still pretty cool: IDE or SATA end goes into a hard drive, USB end goes into another computer, allowing you to quickly access the drive and pull data off of it or determine if it will be serving as an expensive paperweight some time in the near future.
