Home Automation, take 2
Filed in archive Household Entertainment by Andrew Garrett on March 9, 2004
From Gizmodo: some good information on the ZigBee home automation system - a system that uses a wireless mesh network to communicate rather than the over-the-power-lines method of the X10 gear that annoyed the crap out of everyone a couple of years back.

Do you think that it was X10's marketing methods that doomed them to failure and eventual obscurity, or is it just that it was effectively version 1.0?
