Hitachi Unveil Ultra Short Throw CP-A100/ED-A100 LCD Projector

Filed in archive Displays by Michael Pick on September 4, 2007

One of the tough things about having your own projector - especially if you are using it on the road - is the fact that you need to set it so far back from the screen to get a decent sized image. Not so with the latest Hitachi Ultra Short Throw CP-A100/ED-A100 LCD Projector, which will happily fill a 60 Inch screen from a mere 42cm away!

Gizmag report that:
"With the CP-A100/ED-A100 projector sited so close to the screen, the shadowing effects common with conventional projectors are eliminated meaning users can engage better with their audiences and no longer need to carefully avoid projector beams...

The high quality 3LCD panel in the CP-A100/ED-A100 provides crisp, flickerlinks free images at XGA resolution. This first product offers brightness levels of 2000 (lm) in normal and 2500 (lm) in bright mode. A wide selection of options for audio, visual, computer and network connectivity help to ensure easy and versatile operation."

While the obvious application for the projector will be for giving presentations, then, this could well prove a popular way to blast out your console games or video in smaller homes and apartments.
