Storage Stuff
by Jason Giacchino on November 16, 2009

Hitachi realizes that there’s no such thing as too much storage space when it comes to external hard drives. The firm has just introduced a 2TB (terabyte) edition of its popular external SimpleDrive, and it also announced that all of its 3.5-inch retail drives are now available in 2TB capacities.
Known for their small form factor and high-speed USB 2.0 connectivity, the SimpleDrive has been a top seller for Hitachi since its introduction. This, the third-generation external storage solution is loaded with 2TBs of simple, reliable storage and backup options for both consumer and business users. It features four interface options: USB 2.0, FireWire 400, FireWire 800, and 3Gb/sec eSATA
The Hitachi SimpleDrive is available in 500GB, 1TB and 2TB capacities, with an MSRP of $99.99, $129.99 and $249.99, respectively.
