hField Technologies Wi-Fire
The other day, I was at a cheap hotel, and tried to find a WiFi hotspot. I had to settle for some parking space somewhere, and could only stay a few minutes.

If only I had Wi-Fire! This teeny-weeny gadget affixes to your computer (I'm assuming via USB), and can boost your range by 1,000 feet. That may not sound like much, but when you're on the go, finding a hotspot matters.

I don't know if this is available now, but it is created by hField Technologies, at an estimated price tag of $80 USD.
