Headthere Giraffe

Headthere Inc. has recently created the giraffe Video Conferencing Robot. It looks like the Giraffe is aptly named, but I would have chosen a more giraffe look (yellow with brown spots) rather than this sky blue color.
I'm guessing the blue shade is meant to make it stand out, but it already does anyway. As you can see, this is a robot that a user controls from some other internet location, and has his or her head on it on its 14-inch screen. The applications for this are too numerous to be listed here, but it essentially allows you to be two places at once.
This certainly makes for an interesting video conference as the person on the other end can actually move around your office or meeting room. The Giraffe can see and hear what is going on just like its user were there! The Giraffe plans to retail for something between $1800-3000 USD, and should be available for commercial use in 2008.

Hi Mark,
Yellow with Brown spots? I’ll see about doing a custom version for you!
We designed the Giraffe to be used for much more than meetings. You can read about other useful applications on our website.
BTW, we briefly considered a zebra print, you know, just to be ironic, but dropped the idea…
