HDTV Still Too Complicated for the Average Joe
According to this article on All Headline News, 19.5 million people bought HDTVs over the holidays...and they can't figure out why the picture isn't any better. In fact, some of them think it's worse (although that sounds like it might be a subjective judgment, not the result of a scientific inquiry). As it turns out, the problem isn't with the TVs...it's with the people who are using the TVs; they're not hooking up antennas properly, they're not getting an HD feed from their cable or satellite operator, etc.

It's amusing in some ways, but it shows that people still aren't quite ready for the HDTV concept - they know it looks cool, but they don't know quite how it works and when they have access to it.
