Hava Platinum HD

I think we are living in the age of the TiVo, but there are other ways to do DVR. One of these ways is the HAVA, a device that allows you to control your television directly from your computer.

All the user needs to do is connect the HAVA Platinum to their HD television set, and then to the computer. The included software has a window of interface that looks just like a remote control, and the user can program what they want to see.

The footage recorded with the HAVA goes directly onto the computer's hard drive, which can then be watched on the computer without any need for a TV tuner. You can even set it up to watch television from a mobile phone or other remote location.

You should be able to purchase the HAVA for about $149.99, and there are many more advanced models available.
