Hackers are having some fun with AT&T customers after stealing close to 19,000 credit card details of their online shoppers, actually it seems they aren't having fun because there hasn't been any info on "fraudulent transactions". On the other hand, these kind of news makes people think twice before buying anything online/making their credit card information available. The accident happened during the last weekend and AT&T shops were shut down instantly.
Priscilla Hill-Ardoin from AT&T, comments:
We recognise that there is an active market for illegally obtained personal information
Really? Shouldn't AT&T be up to date with that kind of stuff to protect the customers and make them feel secure?
