Hackers of the iPhone, unlocking it for use with unauthorized (but potentially very useful) applications have begun to cause problems with a new OS3 feature; push messaging. The instant messages between phones use unique generated public and private keys, which the hackers, during unlocking and the like, have managed to duplicate between phones, causing messages to go all over the place rather than to their intended owner. This causes much frustration for genuine users who would just like their messages pushed to them, instead of receiving hundreds of messages that were intended for other users.
One wonders exactly how Apple plans to fix this, but hopefully there will be a way around it....
