Griffin Navigator Inline iPod Remote Controls Convenience

Griffin Navigator Inline iPod Remote Controls Convenience

If you are an iPod touch or iPhone user, then you know that bopping around the music controls on your device can be a bit cumbersome. I am not implying that they are horrid, but if you keep your player in a case or holster, you have to take the player out of the holster (don't drop it) unlock it, load the iPod, make your change, then reverse. The Griffin Navigator, an in-line remote combines the convenience of the iPod Shuffle's new control method with the the iPod Touh and iPhone.

With the Griffin Navigator, you have all of the necessary controls: play, pause, forward, backward, and volume. You also get a small OLED screen that has all of the handy song, album, and artist information from your iPod screen, and full play list navigation. A handy feature is that the Griffin Navigator adds an FM radio to your iPod or iPhone. While not absolutely necessary, it is useful when you need news, weather, or some other local information. There is also astandard 3.5mm headphone jack for your personal headphones, which is actually a step up from the iPod shuffle remote.

Available now and for only $60, the Griffin Technologies Navigator in-line remote looks pretty handy. Yes, it is just a matter of convenience, but sometime convenience is worth a bundle. Especially if it keeps your iPod Touch or iPhone from being dropped, forgotten or stolen.

I had one, this stuff look cool so I bought it, but I was quickly disappointed:
    - it sucks my iPod battery, even when power down !!
    - poor FM reception
    - volume always reverts to high level which breaks my ears at every power up
