Grace Digital Audio Creates Floating Speaker and Keeps iPods from
Every day, iPods everywhere die needlessly in swimming pools and Jacuzzis across the globe. These senseless deaths no longer have to happen thanks to Grace Digital Audio. They have just released the Aqua Sounder Floating speaker that connects wirelessly to an included iPod / iPhone dock. Not only will your iPod live to see another day, but you will be able to enjoy your music while you splash and frolic about.

I know I am making fun of the device, but in all honestly, it is pretty cool. The sphere you see in the picture is a wireless speaker that floats in the pool or hot tube and streams audio wireless from the iPhone charging dock. The ball also includes mood lighting that can add some ambiance or party lighting to your pool soiree. The range of the transmitter and receiver is approximatly 150 feet, which should give you plenty of party space. The receiver is rechargable, and it should last approximately 6 hours on a single charge.

$149.99 seems like a high price for a toy, but if you need a waterproof speaker, this is probably the best one on the market. Grace Digital Audio has done your iPod a favor here; don't let the Aqua Sounder go to waste.
