Got the Will but not the Way?

Ever wonder if you're the only one who buys a cool looking gadget only to let it collect dust in a corner? British insurance company esure was curious, so they started a poll of UK consumers to find out, as reported by inthenews.co.uk. Now in its fourth year, the poll has started to chart shifting ideas about what constitutes a "useless" gadget – turns out that electric grills are not the gift to give someone if you want them to like you in a few months (or maybe it's the gift to regift to someone else?). Based on the article, the survey doesn't seem to cover entertainment devices – or maybe people use those a bit more because they cost so darn much.
