Good Lord, That TV is SO Big…
You hear that sound? That's the sound of the thousands of tech heads who just broke the bank on a beautiful new large screen HDTV screaming. And why are they screaming? Because of the experimental 64 inch LCD screen Sharp is demoing at Ceatec Japan 2006. The one that has 9 million pixel points, more than 4 times the number of pixel points on an HDTV. Certainly makes HDTV look pretty standard, doesn't it?
According to CNET, Sharp says they're aiming the monitor at the film and medical industries, but we all know that eventually these things make their way to the living room of the average consumer. So we've got a few years….gives you just enough time to save up, doesn't it?
