Go Back To School with a Lightscribe Pulse Smartpen
I'll be honest, the Smartpen concept is one that I had a hard time grasping. I didn't understand why a person wouldn't just take a laptop into a classroom and type their notes. Then, headlines on campuses banning laptops in classrooms started circulating the internet. Now it makes more sense.
The new Lightscribe Pulse Smartpen, which looks like a pen so it won't get banned, is capable of recording hours of lectures while simultaneously digitizing your handwriting. That way, you can visually go over your notes while listening to the lecture at the same time.
The Lightscribe Pulse comes in two Smartpen configurations. the 1GB version will get you 100 hours of audio and 16000 digitized pages, while the 2GB version will get you double that. Prices are $149 and $199 respectfully.

I’d like to see how well it can record a lecture in a class room, while still being moved around to take notes. The concept is great, the question remains the execution, but kudos for the design.

There were many gadgets that supported and helped the students in June and in July. There were Nonbook and Dekstop from Gateway in US. And had Lightscribe Pulse Smartpen in Gadgets webblog.

The Pulse smartpen is made by Livescribe. Also, I have one, and it is amazing. Too many great comments to give here. It would be better for you to discover it yourself.
