Joel certainly has a point - it's the same problem sports fans run into; one that baseball fans refer to as feeling like there are 162 seasons in a year (in other words, not seeing the forest for the trees). The fix? Make sure that the commentaries we all make about the shiny things we love go beyond repeating the party line ensconced in press releases and actually come up with our own opinions about whether or not a gadget is worth the time. Come on: I promise to do my part if you promise to do yours.

I never buy a gadget or device as soon as it appears, I always give it about 2-3 months and I am sure after this period if I should buy or not.
