G5 Powerbook?
OK. I can understand why Apple don't formally announce these things in advance. Really I can. It would kill sales of the current range for months on end.
But I want to buy a powerbook.
I've been planning one for a few months. I've got the money together. It's a lot of money, and I want this machine to last me for a good 2-3 years. I don't, however, want to buy a model that will be replaced 3 months after I buy it, filling me with upgrade lust.
So, I guess I'm waiting for another 3-6 months, to see if this rumour has a basis in reality. I guess I'm sticking with the iMac and an external 20" monitor (with the OpenFirmware hack on the iMac to give me dualhead.)
