Free Ubuntu Discs - Linux
Filed in archive Hot Deals by tiago on February 9, 2006

This is more then a Hot Deal, it's actually a freebie provided by Canonical Ltd, a company "committed to the development, distribution and promotion of open source software products", which is always a good thing to mention.
If you don't know what ubuntu
is, there's no need to ask for a free CD. Anyway, you can learn more about this Linux Distribution at wikipedia -> full of nice info and remarkable little interesting things like what Ubuntu means in South Africa is "humanity towards others", kind of...
Let's talk about the freebie now. According to Gadget Madness you can receive the Ubuntu CDs for free with no shipping costs involved. Pick 1, 2 or 3 of the different instalation versions (mac included), wait a couple of days and check the mail. There will be 2 CDs, one has the installation and the other has a demo, sort of a test-driving like you do in the cars. That's all :)
