Storage Stuff
by Shane McGlaun on March 19, 2006

While I was over at ThinkGeek checking out the HAL 9000 memory unit, I noticed this interesting USB/FireWire hard drive. The Fortress is billed as an ultra-rugged hard drive that can protect your data even from a drop of six feet onto concrete. That is pretty impressive, though I would be more impressed if the drive could withstand my 16 month old daughter. She recently killed my Raptor, which evidently can't withstand a drop of 2 feet onto tile floor. Perhaps the spit up had some effect on its durability as well.
