It's true that these times seem to have generated more USB devices that any of us know what to do with and computer manufacturers have responded to the need admirably - you can get USB ports on your monitor now, for pete's sake. But I have to say, even with the lack of ports in mind, this product might be a bit rediculous, especially in a day and age when optical mice have rendered mouse pads almost completely obsolete. But there you have it: Lindy's mouse pad with an LED strip around the side and a four-port USB 2.0 hub in the front, powered by a USB connection (with an optional power adapter in case you can't bear to part with a single port on your PC's case) and made for both ball and optical mouse. First person to plug their mouse into one of the ports get an ironic cheer.
