For Road Warriors, it's Everything but the Kitchen Sink
Pursuant to our universal remote discussion yesterday, I've got another product, this time for Microsoft, that's made to help anyone who has to give presentations cut down on the number of remotes they need to carry around: the new Wireless Notebook Presenter Mouse 8000. Basically, Microsoft took a Bluetooth wireless optical mouse, fitted it with a laser pointer, presentation controls (for use in Powerpoint or other Presentation software platforms that work with outside peripherals) and media controls (nominally so you can watch DVDs or what have you without having to sit in front of the computer, but we all know it's because everything has to be a media center these days). The wireless technology is supposed to deliver superior connection performance thanks to its ability to switch frequencies when it encounters interference.

The price isn't bad, either: all of these controls plus a built-in battery media and the included carrying case come out to about $100, which is probably less than what you'd pay for all four elements individually.
