Follow-Up: Man Shoves Phone Down Girlfriends Throat
Back in April I wrote about a guy in kansas city that shoved his cell phone down his girlfriend's throat. The case is finally going to trial, and get this, the guy is apparently trying to claim that his girlfriend swallowed the phone herself. His defense attorney insinuates that the girl swallow the phone to keep her jealous boyfriend from seeing who she'd been calling. That's just the stupidest damn thing I've ever heard.
I don't know what cell phone it was that the doctors removed from her throat, but I'm pretty sure she didn't put it there on purpose. The plaintiff says "If I didn't want him to see my phone, I would have just thrown it out the window and busted it". The look on the defendants face from the courtroom photo above seems to scream, perhaps I should've shoved up the rear end rather than down the throat. If there were ever a poster boy for the stupid people shouldn't breed movement, this is him. The plaintiff testified that she couldn't remember how the phone got in her throat, which is really odd, because I would think that would be something you would remember.
