First Details of the New ATI RD600
Filed in archive Tech News Around The World by Shane McGlaun on June 4, 2006

The first details of the new ATI RD600 chipset for Intel-based motherboards is surfacing, and it sounds so cool. Forget two graphics cards in one system, how about three!? Two of the GPUs would be used for graphics processing in the standard ATI Crossfire mode and the third graphics card
would be used to perform physics calculations in game. To support three graphics cards the board will have three (naturally) x16 PCI Express slots. The new chipset also boasts support for RAM with speeds of 1333MHz, and up to a ferocious 1.5GHz front side bus speed. The specs on this chipset alone are enough to make a computer geek drool.
