My kids got me a Grill Right Wireless Talking BBQ Thermometer. Sounds complicated? It's not really. You simply put the probe in the meat you are cooking, and then you can get wireless updates about temperature and the "doneness" of your meat. I will never burn anything again!
Here are some details about the Grill Right Wireless Talking BBQ and Oven Thermometer:
Large digital LCD screen
- Wireless temperature sensor with detachable stainless steel probe
- Range of up to 330 feet
- Cooking programs for eight different meat entrees
- Choice of four levels of doneness - rare, medium rare, medium, and well done
- Verbal and audio alerts inform the cook about the status of the food
- Alarm sounds when meat reaches selected temperature
- Sensor reads temperatures from 32°F to 572°F
All in all, I am stoked - it was a great Father's Day, and this gadget hit the spot! Did you get anything gadgety for Father's Day? Share and show off in the comments below.

I'm not a man or living in a country where Father's Day is celebrated, but I just wanted to say that this gadget is so cool. I wish I had one, because, as basic as making a steak is, I regularly manage to screw it up...
