Expected Profits On The iPhone Are Huge

After the recent iphone
announcement made by Steve Jobs at the Mac event, one of the prices of the future Apple phone is expected to have a fixed value of $600, but the real question is: How much does it really cost to produce an iPhone? And how much is Apple going to profit from each sale since they aren't letting other sellers make discounts or reduce its price?
Well, taking in consideration a study made by iSupply it looks like the profit margin for each iPhone is going to be something close to 50%, maybe even a little more.
With the cost to manufacture an 8 Gbyte iPhone estimated to be about $280 in total expense, the remainder of the $599 total retail price is estimated to be pure profit - which will flow back to Apple, as the company is forbidding carriers to subsidize or discount the phones.
