Everyday iLow Prices on iPhones!?!

I wrote a few months ago regarding how the iPhone flood was coming. Back then, Apple was poised to sell 10,000,000 iPhones this year. Well, some people think that Apple has already met that goal for this year, and is now sailing past it. So, I get it, iPhones are not sheik, they are relatively common. Heck, even the blue shirts at BestBuy will sell you one. But rumor has it that things are about to get weird for Apple.
According to BGR (Boy Genius Report) WalMart might very well start selling the iPhones in the coming month. That's right – WalMart. You will be able to walk into your local Super Center, get some leopard-print lingerie for the wife, some Sam's Choice Ketchup, a six-pack of Bud Light and an iPhone. Does this seem at all strange to anyone but me? Does that blast a double-barrell shotgun through the whole "I'm a Mac" image?
Now, I am not trying to be a snob here; really I am not. I don't care if everyone and their brother have an iPhone. Heck, everyone I know has an iPod, and I still like mine. This is more about a store like WalMart selling quality, specialty electronics. Would you buy an iPhone from WalMart? What about a MacBook? When you picture WalMart, what quality do you picture?
This doesn't bode well for Apple is this is true. On principal, I am calling this rumor a fake.
