Even the Mainstream Media Likes Convergence
When ABC News starts interviewing the product editor of Wired Magazine about convergence products, it gives me hope that there's enough public interest for true convergence to make it happen sooner - like say within the next year or so. Of course, that means raising the public perception about problems with battery technology (which the ABC article does) and finding ways to integrate designs in such a fashion that people aren't asked to carry around a brick just to be able to make calls, listen to music, watch video, send email and text messages, etc. Clearly, I'll be keeping watch of things on the day by day level, but I'll very interested to see what happens over the next year. Let me know your thoughts about the possibility of a good convergence device in the comments section.
