Displays

Epson has developed a A6 sized (7.1") QXGA (1536x2048) electronic paper display using a simply (not really) titled SUFTLA or Surface-free technology by laser annealing. Basically what they have accomplished is the creation of a very thin TFT-LCD display that can produce high resolutions and remain flexible. More flexible LCD screens could lead to new designs in electronic devices and perhaps thinner and lighter gadgets as well.
