Tech News Around The World
by Shane McGlaun on February 26, 2006

Wow, this comes right on the heels of the post I made about the quantum computer. NewKerala.com is reporting that Israeli researches have invented a computer that uses enzymes to perform calculations. The envisioned purpose of the enzyme computer is to have it implanted into the body to monitor release of drugs.
Researchers at the Hebrew University in Israel believe the enzyme computer could have significant impact on pharmaceutical and biomedical sciences. The online edition of New Scientist reports that enzymes are already used to help with calculations.

Well yes, technology brakethroughs in medicine should be a good thing, but I still have some fear when reading about nanobots and gene therapy. I would suggest anyone who has issues with highend technology in medicine to read any of Robin Cook's books. Although these are novels, they have a scientific background and are a great read.

such technology is quite interesting but I suppose some people can use the same technology for destruction or some new type of nanotech warfare.
