Elecom iPod Lock

I suppose that the growing number of iPod thefts has logically led to the invention of the iPod lock. From what it looks like, the iPod slips into a handy case, then is locked in with an old-style lock reminiscent of bike locks from the seventies.
It also looks like there is a hole there that keeps the clicker wheel and screen exposed. This actually surprises me, because I would think that you wouldn't want that to be accessible while the iPod is locked. I mean, it would help to give that fragile LCD a little more protection, wouldn't it?
I also don't see the need for that odd steel cable. It could probably be snapped easily, and this product could have easily been made without it. Maybe it's designed to hang off your belt loop.
I don't know anything about a price, but considering that Elecom is a Japanese company, it may only be marketed there.

This seems a bit extensive to me. If you want to protect your ipood when you are not using it, buy an iDisguise case.
