Buy This not That
by Jordan Grodecki on May 19, 2009

Ok, little bit of a tangant for The Gadgets Weblog, but hey, this certainly is a gadget! Engadget have picked up on some funky new watches being released by Phosphor which use E-ink, more commonly used in book readers and the occasional phone. It's certainly a good application of the tech and should use very little battery life; due to the way e-ink works; it only draws power when it's changing, not when it's just "being displayed".

Are e-ink actually doing something new or just doing something old with a new material..the question becomes why. The digital watch has actually proved to be pretty unpopular. I prefer the more original take on the analogue watch at http://www.i-toc.com
