Ever wished your iPod dock could do more? No? Me either, but you should still take a look at this cool iPod dock from Edge Tech Corp. The Edge Dock & Multi Flash Card Reader has some pretty nifty features that will allow you to do more than just sync and charge your iPod, though it does allow you to do both those functions.
The Edge Dock & Multi Flash Card Reader features, surprisingly, a multi flash card reader. The Edge Dock & Multi Flash Card Reader will read the follow media card types; SM, xD, MS, MS Pro, SD, MMC, CF and MD.
The Edge Dock & Multi Flash Card Reader also has a line out port to connect to external speakers, while charging. The Edge Dock features an S-Video out jack on the back to allow you to view photos on your TV as well.
Another good thing about the Edge Dock is that it is a USB 2.0 device giving you a fast 480 MBPS transfer rate, and it is powered by the USB port so no external power adapter
is required.
The Edge dock works very well and is easy to set up and use. The line out works well and I noticed no static or other issues with the playback during testing. I really don't see many people using the S-Video out for looking at pics on the TV, but it is nice to know you can if you want.
Overall, the Edge Dock & Multi Flash Card Reader is a great iPod charger and docking station that also gives you media card reading and writing ability. If you need a new or better iPod dock, you should put the Edge Edge Dock & Multi Flash Card Reader on your short list of potentials.
