Not really a gadget, but definitely worth a look for those of us with decentish DVD collections.
eHomeUpgrade has a post about using a couple of simple applications to make backup copies of your valuable DVDs. If you're interested in this sort of thing, it's worthreading for that alone.
Additionally, there's some further information on setting up a media server (Windows based) for your own DVD archive.
Remember, copying movies you don't own is seen as a bad thing - this sort of tecnology should only be used for format shifting, and legitimate backups.
