Disc Organization for the Truly Anal Rentative

Disc Organization for the Truly Anal Rentative

Do you have a lot of CDs or DVDs? And a lot of friends who like to borrow those CDs? Or maybe someone whose desire to organize far exceeds any rational set of thoughts and has moved into Monk territory? Then you, my friend, need something like the Flic Scanner, a bar code scanner that works with included Collectorz.com database software to help you scan and organize everything with a bar code…and anything else that you can bar code – books, pottery, computer parts…whatever you want. Obviously, such a level of organization is not for the faint of heart – although I have to say, having that kind of database certainly appeals to my anal retentive instincts, even with the $200 price tag.

if you’ve got a Mac, Delicious Library (http://www.delicious-monster.com/) will do all that for $40 and can even use your isight camera to scan the barcodes.
