Digital Smoking Won’t Solve The Problem
At least where I live, smoking in a public place is becoming harder and harder to do. It's banned inside most public places in Washington State and several others. Heck, you can't even do it outside many of these places. The pressure is on for the smokers to quit their evil habit.
Enter this interesting device from Crown7. It looks like a cigarette. It feels like a cigarette. It even gives you nicotine like a cigarette. But it doesn't smoke. Unless you count the smoke created by propylene glycol.
The initial investment is anywhere from $64.95 to $149.95, depending on whether you want the cigar, cigarette, or pipe variety. The cartridge packs run $2 each, which is cheaper than a pack of cigarettes these days.
The smokers can smoke, yet those of us who don't want to smoke can still breathe. Everyone wins. Well, if you count being addicted to tobacco winning, anyway.

Somehow that quiting way sounds more promising than this. I definitely approve smoking ban although I am a smoker, perhaps this way I’ll become more determined to to quit. And yeah, this device can’t make me feel like a winner.

Finland recently introduced a similar ban and, as this story reports, they’ve found there are some nasty side effects to having a smoke-free pub or nightclub. Specifically, they have found that cigarette smoke was covering up all manner of other nasty odours mainly the ones emitted by the patrons.
