Free crosstalk-free walkie-talkie communication up to about 2 miles on a watch? Are you serious? Apparently so. For about $100, you can pick up a pair of these Walkie Talk Watches, which feature 8 selectable frequency channels and 38 subchannels to help make sure you're talking to the right person. Fully charged, the watches feature 40 hours of battery life on standby and 2 hours of talk time – and the batteries themselves are rechargable. The watches seem to work pretty well, too: the Norwegian Winter Olympics team used them during the most recent Olympics. Unfortunately, it's not entirely clear if you can order the watches if you live in the US – the website seems to indicate otherwise, possibly because of FCC signal violations.
