No, really. This is a cry for help.
See, my latest pride and joy is a brand spanking new 17" powerbook.
Most of the time, it lives on my desk - really, I don't need a laptop, I need a readily portable desktop. On the rare occasions I move it from my desk, I want to put it, and a few other sundry bits and pieces, into a decently protective bag. It doesn't have to survive being run over by a truck - but I do have a motorbike, and I'd rather like to have the ability to take my laptop with me on the 'bike
What I'm looking to do is have a reasonable all-in-one bag that can take the powerbook, power cable, my trackball, and a few sundry bits and pieces - a book or two, a few pens, perhaps an iPod, or small digital camera, maybe enough space to slip my wacom tablet in, that sort of thing. Basically, a good computer backpack, with reasonable protective abilities, big enough for a 17" powerbook, and a pile of other stuff.
I'm open to the idea of getting a good hard case, and putting that into a normal backpack - if you can recommend a good one, then I'm all for that as well.
I need to be able to buy online - and if the online store ships to New Zealand, that's another bonus - if it doesn't, I'm sure I can impose on the boss to accept delivery in the US, and pass it on for me.
So. Valued reader. What do you suggest?
Mr Wong
