Creative Live! Cam Optia USB Webcam Review
The Creative Live! Cam Optia USB webcam is a part of a new group of webcams that use USB Video Class – a non proprietary standard that allows you to plug the webcam into any modern operating system without needing additional drivers. The camera certainly looks pretty, but as Scott Clark points in his review on Everything USB, there are enough flaws (everything from software issues to a lack of microphone) to make most users think twice before laying down the $70 for this webcam. Not that I'm the webcam type, but I think I have to agree with Scott's assessment: the Cam Optia USB wouldn't be for me.
