Cowon D2 Review
Tamara Chuang at the OC Register has a review up of the COWON D2, a portable media player made by COWON America, located in California. The D2's main selling points are the hardware: touch sensitive 2.5 inch LCD, ability to play all types of media and display text files, long battery life and a SD memory slot. It won't match your iPod for capacity, but seems to win with hardware in other areas. However, Tamara say that when it comes to software, there are plenty of improvements to be made, thanks to problems that will probably scare away most users. In addition, I have to wonder about the advantage of buying a D2 when you can get all of the same features plus calling in a smart phone.
