Smool HO|MEdia conceptWhy not Combine everything you want into one system with a uniform style and interface and wireless capabilities of course.The obvious answer is that people require different things, and no single company seems to have the ability to meet those requirements for most people.
My AV gear in my lounge is made up of a Sony TV, Sony Stereo (bought at separate times), a Philips DVD player and a Technics turntable. At times, I add an IBM thinkpad with a wireless connection to it. Not only that, but they were bought over a period of about 6 years.
It's an interesting idea, but I don't think it will impact on most of us.
