Yes, there really is a Computer History Museum. No, I don't know which night is features the pocket protector giveaway. The museum is located in Mountain View, CA and boasts the worlds largest collection of computer hardware and gadgetry. Several online exhibits will give you an idea of how geeky a true visit to the museum will be. Going all the way back to the start of the computer revolution, you can see all kinds of hardware and information. Be warned, their website would not display the majority of the pages and exhibits when I was looking for the date of the pocket protector giveaway.
