Cintiq might be the artist best friend but only if that artist works with digital devices and computers. It is a small tablet in which you can draw with a pen and the image will be displayed on the monitor (on the tablet too), of course that there are other devices that already do this but the quality and usability of the Cintiq seems to be a lot better than the rest.
The display measures 21.3-inches and the stand is adjustable (rotate, incline, etc) so it offers comfort for whenever the creativity pops up and you want to draw something; when the creativity disappears there is holder for the pen.
Scott McCloud is a popular "cartoonist" and this is what he has to say about the Cintiq:
Drawing directly on the screen with the Cintiq Tablet made a huge difference in my artwork, and sped up my work flow by at least 30%, maybe more. It also saved me a lot of hand-strain. Apart from the Mac, it's one of my all-time favorite digital tools.
It is a cool and expensive gadget that costs $2,500 and can be bought at Wacom.
