Cellstik Contact Info Transfer Tool
For those who have history of destroying or losing cell phones (and I've known a few in my day), the biggest problem is after replacing the phone is, of course, replacing your lost contacts. Even if you've got a phone book elsewhere with all of the necessary names and digits of your hundred closest friends and associates, you still have to type everything back into your new phone before you head out to drop it in yet another drink or toilet bowl.

For those who suffer this plight regularly (or those who don't, but still need to back up contact info), Spark Technology offers the CellStik, which connects your phone to your computer and handles the backup and transfer of phone books via the included software. However, assuming you can find the version of the product that fits your phone (the site's search includes unsupported models), you should probably ask yourself a question: if you need to have a back up of your phone book so badly, why not just buy a smartphone and have it sync up with any number of pieces of software available? You can even buy a waterproof case to keep your new phone safe.
