Cell Phones: They're Still Bad For You
Remember the whole hoopla that started back in the mid 90s and resurfaced 6 years ago about cell phones causing brain cancer? Well now we may have a new cell phone health hysteria: according to this article in InformationWeek, preliminary results from a study conducted by the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) show that using cell phones over 4 hours a day caused a marked sperm count reduction in a group of men in Cleveland, Mumbai and New Orleans. The good news? The findings haven't been confirmed yet, which means the good news may not be good for that long. The ASRM does yet know why cell phones cause a sperm count reduction, but they suspect either heat or the traditional favorite culprit: electromagnetic radiation.

The press release on the study does not go into detail, but it sounds like exposure to cell phones also includes keeping one powered up in your pocket, where the radiation would still be a problem. If we suddenly start to see a bunch of products come out that keep your cell phone out of harms way of the body, I won't be surprised.
