Cell Phones Not Likely to be Allowed on US Airlines Soon

, due to the thousands of complaints sent in by people across the country in response the FCC's opening of the investigation in 2004. In other words: people don't want to hear other people's phone conversations any more than they have to. As someone who's been on my fair share of loud flights, I can't really blame the complainers; even with things like noise-canceling headphones, no one wants to sit next to someone straining to be heard on a cell phone by talking as loud as possible.
