But Why is it Called an iZak?
Some day I'm sure we'll all have TVs with complete Internet access that aren't WebTV-powered and exist outside of hotel rooms. Until then, we have the problem of all of the cool video content residing on servers somewhere else on the Internet...and the best viewing box resting comfortably in top of the entertainment center without any sort of broadband connection. It's a tragedy really, but that's why things like the iZak exists. The iZak, which maker Unibrain brands as both a "Portable Digital Multimedia Player device" and a "Portable Multimedia Center" (whatever that means) is basically a pocket-sized hard drive with a USB 2.0 connection, digital and analog video and audio outputs (yes, including HD) that allows you to transfer things from your computer upstairs to your TV downstairs AND play it back with the separate remote. It even does DiVX, so you can do all that downloading legally and guilt-free, if you should so choose.

To be honest, I'm not sure how useful this device would be unless you're moving a lot of video back and forth - and if you have a laptop, I'm willing to bet there's an easier way to watch HD video on your TV from your computer.
