One of the most recent and lowest priced that I have seen recently, besides some of the DXG series, is the Busbi Digital Video Camera. The Busbi has a two inch LCD screen, and is powered by AA batteries.
It also has an SD memory card slot, and can be connected to the television via AV cable. It also is ready to connect to the computer for video social networking sites.
Unfortunately, it uses USB 1.1 and uses QVGA at 320x240. It does have a low price for £34.95.

I think the prize is fair. USB 1.1 is quite out-of-date, but as soon as its available in Germany, I'll give it a try.
