Bose In-Ear Headphones Review

I've become a big devotee of silicone-covered in-ear headphones (I'll be reviewing my newest pair, made by Sony, in the next few days), so I can see Eric Sofge's point in his review of Bose's entry into the ear bud market, the $99.95 In-Ear Headphones: everything about expensive ear buds is subjective. However, I could see myself not liking Bose's option, even if it's an innovative approach to ear bud design, because they fit in the bowl of your ear instead of slipping into (or impaling, as Sofge puts it) the ear canal. To my mind, silicone ear buds should do two things: 1.) faithfully reproduce sound and 2.) comfortably seal your ear away from invasive outside noise. Maybe this second qualification stems from my living in New York City, land of loud subways and even louder cell phone conversation. If, on the other hand, jamming an ear full of rubber isn't your thing, the Bose In-Ears sound like they might be a good option.
