Boingo Wireless provides global Internet access through a series of hotspots. It's similar to the T-Mobile Wifi hotspots that exist at Starbucks locations in the US, but Boingo is worldwide. Not as ubiquitous as your cell phone signal, but if you happen to be some place that's got one of the hotspots, it's a heck of a lot faster and cheaper.
Boingo now offers a free 30-day trial of their service to WiFi-enabled Nokia Nseries and Eseries device holders. This also includes the Nokia N800 and N810 Internet Tablet running OS2008. Simply download the application, which makes connecting to Boingo-enabled WiFi hotspots easy. After your 30 days are up, service is only $7.95 a month without any contracts or cancellation fees.

I still don't understand why Starbucks charges money for wi-fi. If people pay for a cup of coffee, let them have it. Put some ads on the initial page and make them buy more stuff online. You've got nothing to lose.

Because Strabucks doesn't run the WiFi, T-Mobile does.

Great tip from a reader on getting a free day of T-Mobile HotSpot
