BluEye Connects Phones and iPods Via Bluetooth
Here's a cool idea for coordinating between iPod and cell phone: the GEAR4 BluEye, a device that looks like the iPod remote but includes a Bluetooth receiver and connects to your iPod via the docking interface, limiting it to dock-enabled iPods. If you get a call while listening to music, the BluEye pauses the iPod and allows you to take the call through a microphone built in to the BluEye. Once you're done, the music starts up again. The BluEye also allows you to redial your last nine calls, use voice activation on supported phones and includes an FM tuner as a random extra bonus. The device includes a clip, so you can attach it high enough up on your shirt for the microphone to be effective.

I imagine GEAR4 designed this device with walking around in mind, but I could see it being very practical for use in the car - taking your eyes off the road is never a good thing and doing it to first turn off an iPod and then answer a phone can be quite dangerous. Assuming you could plug the BluEye into your car's stereo system (and I don't see any reason why you couldn't with the right equipment), answering the phone would be as simple as saying, "hello."
